RADش is a lighting unit series based on investigating the possibilities and potentials of reusing waste building materials from demolished sites or leftover materials from new construction sites accompanying the excessive construction boom in Egypt.

2ashayer (arabic term used to describe reinforced concrete extensions in construction sites) have become one of the most striking elements of our built environment. As they dot the rooftops of our buildings they mark a collective societal hope for future extensions. The lighting unit challenges our understanding of this repetitive element and its possibilities outside the realm of construction.
